English as a Universal Language

My data story focuses on how many native English speakers are in the world, and how the number may be lower than the average person may first assume. I aimed to raise the question of why so many of us feel obligated to learn English when there are other languages that have more native speakers, while at the same time seeing the benefits of having a ‘universal language’ that most international citizens choose to communicate in.
